Beatty Calls Attention to Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a month-long initiative to raise awareness on prostate cancer. To mark the occasion, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:
“Each year, almost 174,000 American men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, but early detection can make all the difference. That is why I encourage all men—especially those over 50-years-old—to discuss the signs, symptoms and risk factors with their doctor. Take time this National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month to take greater control of your health.”
