Congresswoman Beatty Celebrates $6.1+ Million for Central Ohio Healthcare Initiatives
COLUMBUS, OH — U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) announced this week that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently awarded over $6.1 million to a variety of healthcare programs and organizations across Ohio’s Third Congressional District. Reacting to the exciting news, Beatty issued the following statement:

As the Representative of Ohio’s Third Congressional District, I have always supported strong federal investment in our healthcare system that also lays the groundwork for the medial treatments and procedures of tomorrow, and I promise to continue to do so.”
Entities receiving HHS funds include:
- $3,953,790 for the Lower Lights Christian Health Center, Inc. to continue to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare to individuals in the surrounding community.
- $1,068, 646 for Nationwide Children’s Hospital to improve and expand graduate medical education.
- $748,843 for the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital to advance groundbreaking cancer, heart, and vascular diseases research.
- $407,839 for The Ohio State University to conduct pharmacological, medical, and biological chemistry research.
