Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) released the following statement following the passage of a short-term funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security:

“Democrats voted in unity earlier today in a clear demonstration that the Department of Homeland Security must be fully funded for the security of our nation and the safety of all Americans. In the face of Republican brinksmanship, Leader Pelosi spearheaded a seven day funding patch for this critical agency. Over the next seven days, I will fight for a long term extension to an agency that protects all of us.”
