Congresswoman Beatty Highlights Importance of National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month
Each November, our country marks National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month. All month long, Americans are invited to “Go Purple” in an effort to help raise awareness around Alzheimer’s Disease. In recognition, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:
“Every 65 seconds, someone in America develops Alzheimer’s Disease, including one in three seniors. It is very likely that all of us know someone impacted by this heartbreaking disease. That is why this month and all year long, we should commit ourselves to raising greater awareness, while also supporting individuals, their families, friends, and caregivers touched by Alzheimer’s Disease. You can show your commitment by simply pledging to ‘Go Purple’ this month.”
