Congresswoman Beatty Aces 2020 Common Cause Democracy Scorecard
Common Cause recently released their 2020 Democracy Scorecard showcasing all 535 Members of Congress’ votes and positions on a multitude of key democracy solutions. U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) was awarded a perfect score for her strong record on tackling voter suppression, getting big money out of politics, and commitment to make sure that no one is above the law.
“I am honored to receive a 15/15 score from Common Cause,” Beatty said. “As the Representative of Ohio’s Third Congressional District, I am fighting hard to ensure that every eligible voter can cast their ballot and have their voice heard, as well as guarantee that our democracy represents the interest of the people—not big money and corporations.” She continued, “In that spirit, and to paraphrase the U.S. Constitution, I look forward to working with Common Cause, my congressional colleagues and countless Americans to build a ‘more perfect Union.’”
