Beatty Recognizes Importance of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a month-long initiative to raise awareness about domestic violence and to connect advocates across the nation who are working to end violence against women and children. Lending her voice in support, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

“Domestic violence affects nearly 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men in the U.S. in their lifetime, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.” Beatty said. “Although progress has been made, there is still much more to be done.” Beatty continued, “This October, please take a stand with me and commit to putting a stop to domestic violence once and for all.”
