Beatty Earns Perfect Score from the Leadership Conference On Civil Rights and Human Rights

This week, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and Human Rights released its Voting Record for the 114th Congress. U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) was one of only three Members of the entire 16-member Ohio Congressional Delegation to receive a perfect score. In response, Beatty issued the following statement:

“Throughout my entire public service career, I have championed the rights of all people, including equal access and opportunity at the ballot box, high-quality education no matter the zip code, affordable healthcare, and equal pay for equal work. Thank you to the Leadership Conference for this special recognition, and I look forward to working with them and many other stakeholders to protect and promote the civil and human rights of all people.”

Founded in 1950, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and Human Rights is a coalition of more than 200 national organizations dedicated to creating a more open and just society. The Leadership Conference’s Voting Record, which has scored every Congress since 1969, reflects votes and positions taken by Members of Congress and Senators on a wide-variety of crucial civil rights legislation.
