Beatty Wants Greater Voter Registration Following Voter Purges
Today is National Voter Registration Day, a nationwide initiative to encourage more Americans to register to vote and have their voices heard. In celebration of the democratic process, and in solidarity with the thousands of voters removed from the rolls in Ohio’s latest voter purge, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) released the following statement:
“The most significant thing any American can do in our democracy is vote, but before they can do that, they must register. Today, I call on those eligible to register to vote, and ensure they are not one of the many people erroneously removed during Ohio’s latest voter purge. And if you’re already registered, go out and help your friends, your family, your coworkers, and everyone you know register, because Democracy only works when we all make our voices heard.”
