Statement on the Passing of Joyce Garver Keller

Today, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement on the passing of Joyce Garver Keller, longtime Executive Director of Ohio Jewish Communities:

"I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of my good friend, and friend to many in Central Ohio, Joyce Garver Keller, As Executive Director of Ohio Jewish Communities, and even in retirement, Joyce worked tirelessly to strengthen our community and to improve the lives of all people. She will always be remembered for her lifelong commitment to her family and her community. To my dear friend, I say thank you for making the world a better place."

Joyce Garver Keller was a leading voice for Central Ohio's vibrant Jewish community. From advocating for greater retirement security and Medicaid expansion, to foreign affairs, Joyce Garver Keller was known by many and her work was celebrated both locally and nationally. She was the driving force behind the construction of the Holocaust Memorial at the Ohio Statehouse.
