Beatty Celebrates National Small Business Week

Weeklong initiative highlights the importance of American small businesses

This year, National Small Business Week (NSBW) is April 30th through May 6th. First celebrated in 1964, NSBW is our country's annual celebration to recognize the critical contributions of America's entrepreneurs and small business owners. In recognition of NSBW, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

"Small businesses are the backbone to our economy, accounting for more than half of our country's workforce. Moreover, small businesses create almost two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. That is why during National Small Business Week, I encourage my constituents, fellow Ohioans and all Americans to join me in honoring the nearly 28 million small businesses and the 120 million Americans who make Main Street strong. As a former small business owner, I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure America's small businesses thrive."

For more information on NSBW, please visit the SBA website. Also, be sure to join the conversation online by using #SmallBuisnessWeek, #NSBW and #DreamSmallBiz.
